Let go of the pressure to write a hit song

If you'd like to write music, you'll probably enjoy yourself more if you don't put pressure on yourself to write a hit on your first try! Too many of my students throw their ideas away too early, without appreciating the joy and gift of creativity while it's happening. Here's a quick video explaining why I think it's more important to set goals of enjoyment than success, and a few tips on how to move back to this mindset if you've gotten off track. I hope you find this helpful!

This clip is an excerpt from my recent webinar, Introduction to Songwriting. If you're interested in catching the whole thing, you can find it here.
